Kings County Imperial is a modern Chinese diner in Williamsburg, owned and operated by chef Josh Grinker since 2015. The restaurant is widely known as one of Brooklyn's hottest upscale Chinese food joints, offering a full menu of classic dishes with modern twists, including excellent dim sum options such as wok-seared long dumplings, Chinese hanging pork ribs, sesame shrimp toast, and crispy white radish cakes. Noodle entrees range from Hong Kong-style noodles to Beijing street noodles prepared with petit shiitake mushrooms, hen of the woods, and Chinkiang vinegar, while wok and stir fry dishes range from tea-smoked duck mu shu and crispy garlic chicken to Kung Pao chicken and Gulf shrimp choy. Diners can also split fried rice dishes or orders of the restaurant's famous imperial spring rolls, prepared with shrimp, squid, scallops, and cilantro. A full drink menu features Asian-style cocktails, fine liquors, and regional craft beers on tap.
