Review:

Marea first opened its doors in New York City in 2009 and almost immediately was noted as one of Manhattan’s most consistently wonderful and original upscale restaurants. The beautiful restaurant along Central Park South features a sunlit dining room and specializes in fresh shellfish and fish in Italian-inspired dishes prepared by the restaurateur and skilled chef Michael White. Unique dishes at Marea include the fusilli with bone marrow and octopus and the crostini with sea urchin and lardo. Since opening, the fine-dining restaurant has received a James Beard Award, two Michelin stars, and “Best New Restaurant” by GQ Magazine, Esquire, and Bon Appetit.
