Whiteface Lodge is a spectacular place to dine. With a focus on locally-sourced produce from farms in the area and Native American fish and game, the team of chefs at the Whiteface cook up American cuisine at its finest.
The KANU dining room is open for three meals a day and has an open kitchen to allow guests to watch their food being prepared. It features North American fish and game, has a sommelier to perfectly pair wines with each meal and has a children’s menu.
The KANU lounge presents casual dining in comfort. While seated in plush armchairs, listening to live music, guests can order wood-fired pizza, artisan sandwiches and salads. There is a children’s menu at the KANU lounge as well.
The Old Fashion Ice Cream Parlor serves Adirondack Creamery ice cream. Patrons can order cones, sundaes (with brownies!), milkshakes and sodas, or purchase a chocolate bar.
The Spa Café features healthy food for a healthy body and mind. The Spa Café’s fare is low in fat, calories, sugar and salt but is still delicious and diverse. Guests can try the yummy benefits of a smoothie or order ahead for a lunch-time bento box.
The Poolside Spa offers healthy lunches, pizza, sliced seasonal fruit and has a children’s menu.
The Canoe Club, directly on the shore of Lake Placid, serves burgers, wraps, raw fruit and veggies with dip, salads, and ice cream for dessert.
At the Bear’s Den Market, guests can relax in wrought-iron patio seating while they drink fair trade coffee, cappuccino or espresso and munch on trail mix, caramel apples, pastries, chips, candy and gourmet chocolate. The Bear’s Den Market also stocks basic groceries and toiletries.
