Review:

Famous for its pottery, famous poets, and award-winning chefs, Sifnos has become the most popular destination in the western Cyclades. Lured by its charming villages, terraced countryside, Venetian dovecotes and ancient towers, and long, white sandy beaches, visitors in their thousands flock to the island in summer for a relaxing escape. Once renowned for its gold mines, which were ruined in floods, Sífnos is the center pottery in the Cyclades today with samples dating back to the Early Cycladic period being found on the island. The island is home to many pottery workshops selling decorative items, utensils, and ceramics for domestic use.
