Shady Creek Winery is a 20-acre production winery in Michigan City, located less than an hour's driving distance from Chicago along the beautiful southern shoreline of Lake Michigan. The winery, which is conveniently located near top area attractions such as Indiana Dunes National Park and the Four Winds Casino, is known for its award-winning custom-crafted wines, cultivated by members of the Anderson family. Wines are named to evoke the feeling and atmosphere of the Lake Michigan area, including signature blends such as Beach Glass White, Sandy Feet, Sweet Sunrise, and White Caps. Purchases of the winery's Rescued Dog Red Merlot also support area animal shelters and organization. Public special events throughout the year include Friday night dinners, Sunday afternoon music performances, and local artwork and jewelry crafter shows.
