Southeast Indiana has been one of the United States' most prominent wine production regions since the 18th century, known as the birthplace of the county's modern wine industry by the 19th century. The state is home to two designated American Viticultural Areas, including the Ohio River Valley AVA and the Indiana Uplands AVA, the latter of which is home to the nationally-renowned Oliver Winery. Visitors can explore the attractions of the beautiful Indiana Wine Trail, which travels throughout the state's southeastern region and showcases quaint family farm wineries and historic wine cellars. Check out the Indiana Wine Fair and Uncork Me Indiana.
