The Appaloosa Museum and Heritage Center offers a great day out for the whole family and is especially popular with budding young equestrians.

The museum chronicles the history of the Appaloosa Horse, from its origins here in Palouse Country as well as the history of the Appaloosa Horse Club which was established in 1938. The center offers a variety of educational programs for children including An Introduction to Horses (for younger children up to 6 years of age) and the Appaloosa and Regional History program for children aged 8 years and up. The museum is free to visit and is open from Monday through Saturday.
