Lake Walcottk is an 11,000-acre reservoir impounded by Minidoka Dam in south-central Idaho with an island in the middle of the lake known as Bird Island. Situated within the Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge, the Lake Walcott Park is home to a diverse array of wildlife including mule deer, raccoon, porcupine and squirrels, as well as pelicans, geese, ducks and other shorebirds. Activities and recreational opportunities in and around the lake include excellent fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing, camping, picnicking, group activities, and disc golf.
