Tugaloo State Park is located on one of Georgia’s wooded peninsulas, providing both campsites and cottages for overnight guests, most of which offer amazing views of Lake Hartwell, the park’s expansive 55,590-acre lake. Some of the cottage even include their own private boat dock.
For guests who prefer tent camping, options include the primitive campsites just a short walking distance from the parking lot or the developed campground. During the warmer months, Tugaloo State Park is a popular spot for boating, sailing, water skiing, and swimming, as well as hiking along the Muscadine and Sassafras trails.
