2nd Street Bistro is a casual American-style bistro located within Fort Pierce's historic downtown district, adjacent to landmarks such as the 1922 Sunrise Theater. The bistro, which is operated by restaurateur Gary Sofen, is housed within a beautiful restored 1929 historic building and showcases antique memorabilia as decor throughout its dining room. A full menu of casual American fare highlights land and sea favorites, including seafood and taco platters, clever sandwiches, and health-conscious wraps and paninis. Hand-tossed flatbreads are available with traditional or gluten-free cauliflower crusts, topped with delicious toppings such as lump crab meat, artichokes, and vine-ripe tomatoes. The restaurant's bistro tap house also serves up an extensive list of regional and national craft microbrews.
