Review:

Military Park is a triangle shaped park located between Broad Street, Park Place, and Rector Street. The six acre city park was a training area for soldiers from 1667 to 1869 when it became the town commons. There is a large war memorial called the “Wars of America” in the southwestern part of the park.

This monument was created by Gutzon Borglum who was the sculptor of Mount Rushmore. There are many things to see and do in the park such as lawn games, ping pong, yoga, zumba, and much more. Special events include line dancing, piano music, and after work music. For children there are things like “Imagination Playground” and “Story Time.”
