Beloved by Indiana baseball fans, Parkview Field has won numerous awards since its construction in 2009. Plans for the stadium were laid in 2006, when the BaseballPLUS committee began brainstorming designs for the new venue. Shortly after the opening of Parkview Field, the Marriott Hotel Group opened a Courtyard Marriott next to the stadium, which has invigorated the economy in Fort Wayne.

Although Parkview Field is used primarily for baseball, the stadium hosts roughly 400 non-baseball events throughout the year. Examples include festivals, concerts, parties, and wedding receptions. The field boasts nearly 11,000 square feet of indoor meeting space as well as plenty of room for outdoor events. Parkview Field is open to the public all year round.
