Review & FAQ:

Located around 75 minutes west of Victoria, Sombrio Beach is located in the Juan de Fuca Provincial Park, where it is British Columbia’s most easily accessible back-country camping area and surfing destination. While camping is limited to the summer months, surfers come to the beach all year round to enjoy excellent surfing conditions. Hikers spend their days exploring the many interesting rock forms (including a hidden waterfall), bouldering or wildlife watching. The sea is packed with marine life and visitors are often treated to sightings of Humpback whales, orcas, seals and more while on land you could encounter bears, cougars and wolves.
