Review:

Located in the coastal community of Seal Beach, Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge includes 965 acres of wildlife habitat.

The refuge is located inside a Naval Weapons Station, so it is only open to the public during special events and tours.

Escorted tours of the refuge are held on the last Saturday of every month except December, and visitors are transported by shuttle bus to the refuge where they have access to an observation deck and a number of interpretive signs.

Private tours for groups of 15-20 people can also sometimes be arranged if booked in advance.
