Review & FAQ:

San Onofre Surfing Beach, colloquially known as "San O" or Old Man's Beach, is one of Southern California's best surfing sites for beginners, renowned for its excellent surf breaks.

The beach, which is located along the northern end of the decommissioned SONGS power plant, can be accessed via the Old Pacific Highway near San Clemente and entered near North San Diego County's Camp Pendleton.

Beach volleyball is also popular with beachgoers, with fire pits available for day use. A tent and RV campground area is offered nearby at Bluffs Beach, which is also home to a number of hiking trails.
