Review:
Monarch Bay Beach a popular public beachfront in Dana Point, located below the private beach club area of the Monarch Beach gated community. The beach is a great spot for sunbathing, beachcombing, and scuba diving, with significantly more secluded areas offered along the beach's northern end away from the beach club.
A variety of shorebird species are visible from the beachfront throughout the year, and a number of caves and boulders are available for exploration along the beach's northern end.
Visitors should note that parking at the Monarch Bay Beach Club is reserved for residents, members, and their guests, though paid public parking is available nearby at the adjacent Salt Creek Beach Park near the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. Video
