Located in the heart of downtown Chico, the National Yo-Yo Museum is dedicated to the popular toy known as the yo-yo, telling the story of its history, and displaying a variety of yo-yo-related memorabilia and a massive, working 256-pound wooden yo-yo. The museum is set in the back of a local shop called Bird in Hand and features a variety of yo-yos of various shapes and sizes, as well as the world’s largest working yo-yo. The Museum also hosts an annual National Yo-Yo Contest in October and draws yo-yo fans from around the world to partake.
