The 1078 Gallery is a volunteer-run art gallery that features exhibitions of contemporary and experimental artworks in a variety of mediums from film, musical and literary, to visual and performance mediums. Founded in 1981 as an artist's collective and alternative exhibition space, the 1078 Gallery grew in size and mission and now features exhibitions, concerts, and installations by an array of artists of cultural and geographic diversity. The gallery boasts works from both local and international artists and has received several grants and awards for being a vital element in maintaining cultural diversity within the community.
