The The Edward Hopper Birthplace and Boyhood Home preserves the childhood home of noted American artist Edward Hopper, located within the Rockland County city of Nyack. The two-story Greek Revival-style home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, noted for its status as the artist's residence from his birth in 1882 to his move to Manhattan in 1910. Today, the home is preserved as the Edward Hopper House Art Center, which showcases a public gallery facility dedicated to the artist's life and work. Additional gallery spaces feature rotating contemporary art exhibits with a focus on artists inspired by or working in similar styles to Hopper. Hopper's second-story bedroom has been faithfully recreated, showcased as a living history exhibit for home visitors. Walking tours of the home are offered for individuals and groups, with large group accommodations available with advance reservation.
