La Boca draws crowds of travelers because of its proximity to two iconic spots in Buenos Aires: The soccer stadium La Bombonera and Caminito, also known as the artist’s street. La boca means “the mouth” in English, and the area earned its name as it sits at the mouth of the Riachuelo River. At La Boca, travelers can register for tours of La Bombonera, walk along the artist’s street, or visit Fundacion Proa, a nearby modern art museum. La Boca also has a handful of authentic restaurants and eateries.
