El Zanjon de Granados is another unique museum in downtown Buenos Aires. Housed in a 200-year-old mansion, this museum is known best for its large network of underground tunnels. The tunnels and the mansion were carefully restored over a 17-year period by Jorge Eckstein, an amateur historian and chemical engineer. While excavating the area, crews found French tiles, African pipes, English china, and other rare objects. Today, visitors can take a 1-hour guided tour of this unique old mansion.
