The Puyallup Public Library is a community library that serves the residents of the city and surrounding regions. The library was born in 1877 when Ezra Meeker’s wife began lending books to the local people from her cabin and has grown into a 39,500 square-foot library that offers a wide variety of services. The library houses a collection of over 150,000 books, 12,000 audiobooks, 20,000 videos, and 10,000 CDs, along with periodicals, newspapers, and public computers with access to the Internet. The library has meeting rooms for the public to use, study rooms for students and quiet nooks for reading, and is open Monday through Saturday.
