Washington state is home to some of the most beautiful forests and trails in the country. One such trail is the Sammamish River Trail, a 9.5-mile excursion that stretches between Bothell’s Blythe Park, and the Marymoor Park of Redmond. The trail features several kinds of terrain with paved segments, soft-surface segments, as well as grass and dirt trail segments. Some portions of the trail are also open to equestrians who want to explore the trail on horseback. The trail will also take hikers through a number of landmarks like the Wilmot Gateway Park while also having hikers cross paths with some of Sammamish River’s local inhabitants such as turtles, beavers, weasels, deer, and more.
