This small, privately owned zoo serves an essential service by providing a forever-home to a variety of animals which would otherwise probably have been euthanized. The zoo is home to “retired” animal ambassadors from zoos or conservation projects, unwanted pets and confiscated exotic animals, some of which have suffered abuse. While you enjoy meeting the animals you can pat yourself on the back for helping to fund their safe and comfortable existence. For a more in-depth experience visitors can book a special after-hours Discovery Tour, to meet, pet and feed inmates and to learn more about them from the knowledgeable zoo staff.
