Located in the Shenandoah National Park, the 70-foot high Lewis Spring Falls are just one of several waterfalls hikers can enjoy finding. Although this is a difficult waterfall to spot due to the vegetation, there is a popular hiking trail which will lead you to the lookout area. The Lewis Spring Trail is considered moderate, and stretches along a 4km out-and-back loop which descends steeply to the viewing platform for the waterfall. Hiking sticks are helpful. You can either return the way your came (a steep and rocky ascent) or continue along the loop trail to reach the Visitor’s Center. This is a dog-friendly trail provided you keep your fur-child on a lead.
