A visit to the Luray Singing Tower is a must for any visitor looking for something unique and memorable to do. The tower is, in fact, an old-world musical instrument called a Carillon. It originated in Belgium in the early 1600’s and takes the form of an arrangement of at least 23 brass bells. Although the bells are stationery, their clappers are controlled by the strokes of a giant keyboard. It is a Luray tradition for the community to come and attend Sunday Vespers, to listen to the singing tower in action and to take a tour of the tower. Please check with their website for more information.
