Ironclad Distillery is nestled along the banks of the James River, overlooking the site of the Battle of the Ironclads (the first Civil War ships to be clad in iron), which inspired the name. Ironclad Distillery is on a mission to produce the purest and finest Bourbon in the land, using the best all-Virginia grains. Visitors are invited to stop by for a tour of the facility, which will include learning about Virginia’s long history of Bourbon production. After the tour you can enjoy a tasting of the Ironclad products as well as other seasonal cocktails in the comfortable and inviting Tasting Room.
