Review & FAQ:

Manneken Pis is a small bronze sculpture that depicts a young naked boy urinating into a fountain. The sculpture has become an iconic landmark of the city of Brussels and is known around the world. It was designed by Hieronymus Duquesnoy the Elder and was put into place in the early 1600s. The statue is dressed in costumes several times a week according to a published schedule and the sculpture’s wardrobe includes several hundred outfits. Many of the outfits can be seen on exhibit at the nearby City Museum. At times, the statue is even hooked up to a keg of beer and used to fill cups of beer, which are served to passersby.
