Review & FAQ:

Antwerp Zoo lies right in the city center of Antwerp, conveniently located right beside the Antwerpen-Centraal train station. It was opened in 1843, making it the oldest zoological park in the country. Many of the zoo’s impressive historic buildings date to the 19th and early 20th centuries. The zoo is home to more than 7,000 animals representing approximately 950 species. Some of the most popular exhibits are Vriesland, home to several species of penguins, an Egyptian temple-themed exhibit with Asian elephants and Baringo giraffes, an impressive monkey house, Nocturama, a cat house, and the Antwerp Zoo Aquarium.
