Review & FAQ:
The Cathedral of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Antwerp. It is the see of the Diocese of Antwerp. The cathedral dominates the skyline of the city and was the tallest building in the region for many centuries. Construction began in 1352 and the building was designed by Jean Amel de Boulogne and Herman De Waghemakere. Many of the original interior features have been plundered and badly damaged over time. However, some significant art treasures still remain, including 34 beautiful stained-glass windows and three large paintings from the artist Rubens. The bronze tomb of Isabella of Bourbon is also preserved inside the cathedral.
