In terms of facilities and size, the Planetario Venezia, or Venice Planetarium, is Italy’s third most important planetarium and is the only facility that is able to project spectacular and realistic “artificial horizons” that span all 360 degree of the heavens. The Planetario Venezia uses mechanical and optical means to provide a very life-like replica of the night sky’s panorama, offering a memorable astronomical experience for audiences. The Venice Planetarium welcomes the general public to view the stars, planets, and the galaxy beyond during its scheduled projections between the month of October and the month of May.
