Review & FAQ:
The creation of Museo Universidad de Navarra was prompted by a donation from Maria Beaumont, of 49 works of contemporary artists, including Pablo Picasso. This collection dovetailed with the legacy contribution, by Jose Ortiz Echague, of 14000 photographs and 100000 negatives. These represent the history of photography in Spain from the 19th century to the present day. Rafael Moneo designed the abstract building. It is in the valley between the two campuses symbolizing the museum's quest to diffuse art into all the faculties of the university. There are exhibitions, conferences and classes throughout the academic year.
