Nikau Lodge sits in the heart of Kaikoura and gives guests amazing views of the mountains and sea along with high-quality yet affordable accommodations in the bed and breakfast style. There are four rooms to choose from, each of which is spacious. Two have queen beds and the other two have a king or two twin beds. The rooms also have free Wi-Fi, TVs with DVD players, plunger coffee, tea, home baking, and complimentary wine or beer upon arrival. Other amenities include hair dryers, en-suite bathrooms, radio-alarm clocks, robes, and toiletries.
Guests are welcome to use the garden hot tub for relaxation. Or you can just sit on the verandah and enjoy nature, with views of snow-capped mountains and stars at night. The garden also features a gorgeous nikau tree, the southernmost palm tree in the world. For convenience, the lodge offers courtesy drop-off and pick-up and laundry services. The morning starts off with full-cooked as well as continental breakfasts, made using free range eggs and fresh local produce. Breakfast comes with fresh-brewed tea or fresh percolated coffee.
