Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat is the first Net Zero Energy Retreat & Cabins in New Zealand and is part of the Headwaters. It sits by Lake Wakatipu’s scenic shores by the base of the Humboldt and Richardson Mountains. There are numerous accommodation options, including Cabins like two- and one-bedroom units. Expect all cabins to have en-suite bathrooms, walk-in rain showers, well-designed lighting, covered verandahs, great insulation, desks, key card access, and rustic décor. Those on a budget can stay in one of the four bunkrooms with twin-size bunk beds and bed linen. There is also room for up to eight RVs or motorhomes with large powered spots. The location of Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat means that guests are always surrounded by nature and it is easy to access a range of outdoor adventures. All guests also get to take advantage of numerous on-site amenities such as shared kitchen facilities, a campfire, and a BBQ area. There is free wireless internet so you can stay connected. The Homestead Building has configurable spaces for events and meetings. There is also bike storage and a washing and drying room. Dine in the shared mountain view dining room. Guests will find it easy to go hiking and more right from the doors of the retreat.
