With all the sacrifices made by their veterans, the Texas Panhandle War Memorial is a place to remember and honor every soldier from the region. The memorial is filled with several interactive displays along with a park dedicated to panhandle military members who lost their lives in service. A functioning military chapel may also be found within the memorial which hosts non-denominational services, weddings, memorials, and funerals. The memorial center also puts importance on the education of its community through different initiatives. For the youth, they offer an educational center that teaches all about the wars the United States has taken part in. Then for veterans and their families, the memorial offers brain-related training in partnership with the University of Texas Medical School.
