Learn all about Amarillo’s unique and rich history at the Amarillo Historical Museum. Established in 2013, this growing museum has been passionately preserving and celebrating every part of the town’s history. Their exhibits highlight important events like the Amarillo High School fire to local accomplishments like producing an Olympian or a walk-off home run during an Amarillo Dillas game. There are several other collections and exhibits to view at the museum such as the Civil War firearms collection and the first railroad rail laid in Amarillo. While Amarillo may be a small town, it’s filled with amazing stories to be seen and heard.
