The Root Cellar Cafe can be found in the historic Donaldson building’s bottom floor in San Marcos, Texas. This building throughout history has housed several different businesses, such as Bond’s Cafe and Restaurant during the 1930’s and G.W. Donaldson & Co. Hardware before that. Opening in February of 2055, The Root Cellar Cafe prides itself on continuing to be a part of the city’s rich history. Guests can dine on a variety of dishes made from scratch for lunch, brunch, or dinner in the underground dining room, along with enjoying views from upstairs on the deck or outside on the patio.
