Founded to keep the aviation history of World War II alive, the Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force sits inside a vintage wooden airplane hangar built in 1942. In addition to a collection of historic aircraft, the museum features a military museum and a library with a large collection of military books. Visitors will also have the chance to hop into a real airplane from World War II, and actual flight experiences are available if arranged in advance.
