The Virgin Falls State Natural Area is a natural area in White County encompassing more than 1,150 acres. Named after the Virgin Falls, created by the underground stream emerging from a cave, the natural area is home to unique geological features in addition to its other waterfalls, which include the Big Branch Falls, Sheep Cave Falls, and Big Laurel. The Virgin Falls drops over a cliff approximately 110 feet high before vanishing into the cave underneath. There are also sinkholes at the Virgin Falls State Natural Area, like the Virgin Falls Sink, and great views from Martha's Pretty Point.
