Situated along the banks of the Falling Water River, Burgess Falls State Park is a day-use park known for its four waterfalls cascading down from more than 250 feet, general natural beauty, and hiking opportunities The last of the waterfalls is considered to be the most spectacular with its water plunging over 130 feet down into the gorge below. Following bluffs along the gorge’s south bank, a 1.5-mile loop trail starts at the Falling Water Cascades and ends at the platform that overlooks Burgess Falls. Hikers can also see Middle Falls and Little Falls from this trail.
