Myrtle Beach State Park has a gorgeous campground that sits right along the oceanfront maritime forest. Filled with lush greenery, campers can enjoy a serene atmosphere complete with stunning ocean views, beachside swimming, and an array of activities. There are 204 campsites, many with full hookups for electricity, water, and sewage; additionally, there are six beachside cabins to rent out as well. Activities include fishing or crabbing from the pier or surf fishing for trout, king mackerel, flounder, and other fish. There are fishing rod rentals at the pier gift shop and fishing from the pier does not require a state fishing license. Additional amenities and activities include a playground, picnic area, birdwatching, biking, hiking, and geocaching.
