Romantic All-Inclusive Weekend Getaways

I found that romantic all-inclusive weekend getaways are the perfect way to escape the everyday and focus entirely on each other. With everything bundled together (dining, activities, and relaxation) you can simply arrive and enjoy a stress-free retreat. Within just a short trip, you can discover stunning resorts surrounded by natural beauty, from beachfront escapes and vineyard retreats to mountain lodges with cozy fireplaces.
What makes these getaways so special is the balance of indulgence and intimacy. You might spend your days lounging by the pool, sharing a couples’ spa treatment, or savoring candlelit dinners under the stars. The best part is choosing the perfect setting, whether it’s a luxurious resort, a secluded boutique property, or a charming hideaway designed just for two. Here are some of the most unique romantic all-inclusive stays I came across that I think you’ll love for your next weekend escape.

1. Lakeside Romance at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe
From Sacramento, we drove 100 miles east to Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America at 191 square miles. The lake’s story stretches back to Washoe Tribe heritage, later booming during the Comstock silver rush of the 1800s.
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Incline Village is one of my favorite mountain-lake escapes, and it’s easily one of the best hidden gems for a weekend getaway in the Sierra Nevadas.
I love that it sits right on the shores of Lake Tahoe, with private beach access and stunning alpine views that make every season feel magical.
The resort has a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and my favorite part was ending the day with a cozy firepit by the lake after hiking, kayaking, or skiing.
I found the rooms warm and inviting, with rustic-luxury décor, plush bedding, and private balconies that made the stay feel both elegant and relaxing.
For couples, this is one of the best romantic retreats in Tahoe, while families will love the pool, activities, and easy access to year-round outdoor fun.
What I Loved Most: Taking the private pier out to the water with a glass of wine in hand, just us and the mountains watching over.
A downside? I noticed how crowded it felt on weekends. The serenity of Tahoe was harder to find when I was sharing the shoreline with so many others.
Plan your all-inclusive weekend:
- Location: Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, NV
- Highlights: Spa, lakeside fire pits, beach access

2. Mountain Escape at Historic Tapoco Lodge
From Knoxville, we drove 65 miles southwest to the Historic Tapoco Lodge, a riverside retreat first built in 1930 to house workers for the Tallassee hydroelectric dam.
Historic Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville, North Carolina, is one of my favorite underrated stays in the Smoky Mountains, and it’s easily one of the best places for a cozy and scenic getaway.
I love that it dates back to the 1930s and still carries so much history, with charming lodge-style architecture and a peaceful riverside location along the Cheoah River.
My favorite part was relaxing on the outdoor deck with a drink while listening to the river rush by—it felt like pure mountain serenity.
I found the accommodations rustic yet comfortable, with cabins and lodge rooms that made me feel close to nature while still enjoying modern comforts.
For couples, Tapoco Lodge is a romantic escape, and for families it’s an adventurous base near hiking trails, waterfalls, and the Tail of the Dragon scenic drive.
My highlight? Dinner on-site: filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, and a slice of mountain berry pie we shared under string lights beside the river.
The only drawback? The historic lodge had its quirks, narrow hallways, creaky floors, and smaller rooms. I liked the character, but it wasn’t as polished as a modern resort.
Plan your trip:
- Vibe: Rustic, scenic, quiet
- Address: Historic Tapoco Lodge, 14981 Tapoco Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771

3. Whimsical Luxury at Winvian Farm
From Hartford, we drove 40 miles west to Winvian Farm, a 113-acre retreat in the Litchfield Hills. The property’s roots stretch back to the 18th century, when it was a working farm.
Winvian Farm in Morris, Connecticut, is one of my favorite luxury retreats in New England, and it’s easily one of the best hidden gems for a unique and indulgent getaway.
I love that each of the property’s 18 cottages has its own whimsical design, from a treehouse to a helicopter-themed suite, making every stay completely unforgettable.
The atmosphere is playful yet refined, and my favorite part was discovering the creativity in every detail while still enjoying world-class luxury.
I found the spa and fine dining to be highlights too, offering indulgence and relaxation in the heart of Litchfield Hills.
For couples, Winvian Farm is the ultimate romantic escape, while families and groups will love the variety of cottages and the peaceful countryside setting.
Plan your trip:
- Location: Morris, CT
- Best Time to Visit: Year-round; cozy in winter, dreamy in spring

4. Desert Dreaming at Enchantment Resort
From Phoenix, I drove 115 miles north to Enchantment Resort, tucked deep into Sedona’s Boynton Canyon, a site sacred to Native tribes for centuries.
Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona, is one of my favorite desert escapes, and it’s easily one of the best hidden gems for a weekend getaway in Red Rock Country.
I love that it’s tucked into Boynton Canyon, surrounded by towering red cliffs that make the entire property feel secluded and magical.
The resort blends luxury with nature, and my favorite part was starting the day with a guided canyon hike before unwinding at the world-class spa.
I found the casita-style accommodations warm and inviting, with Southwestern décor, fireplaces, and private patios that made the stay feel romantic and serene.
For couples, Enchantment Resort is one of the best romantic retreats in Arizona, while families will love the adventure programs and spacious suites.
Plan your trip:
- Cost: Luxury resort
- Address: Enchantment Resort, 525 Boynton Canyon Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336
What I Loved Most: Watching the morning sun spill over the canyon walls while sipping coffee wrapped in a robe.
A downside? I felt the resort’s popularity made it less secluded. Dining reservations were tricky without planning ahead.

5. Refined Romance at Fairmont Grand Del Mar
From downtown San Diego, I drove 20 miles north (about 30 minutes on I-5 and CA-56) to the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a 400-acre resort inspired by Mediterranean Revival architecture.
Just beyond, the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve ties the area to its deeper heritage, where rare trees and sandstone cliffs recall California’s natural legacy.
Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California, is one of my favorite luxury resorts, and it’s easily one of the best places for an indulgent getaway in Southern California.
I love that it combines Mediterranean-inspired architecture with the natural beauty of Los Peñasquitos Canyon, giving it an elegant yet peaceful atmosphere.
The resort feels grand and timeless, and my favorite part was playing a round on the championship golf course before relaxing at the Forbes Five-Star spa.
I found the rooms lavish and comfortable, with marble bathrooms, plush bedding, and private terraces that made the stay feel truly upscale.
For couples, Fairmont Grand Del Mar is the ultimate romantic escape, while families will love the pools, equestrian center, and kid-friendly activities.
The only drawback? The size of the resort meant I sometimes felt more like a guest at a grand estate than on a private romantic escape.
Plan your trip:
- Vibe: Mediterranean elegance, luxurious, serene
- Address: Fairmont Grand Del Mar, 5300 Grand Del Mar Ct, San Diego, CA 92130

6. Canyon Magic at L'Auberge de Sedona
From Phoenix, we drove 120 miles north into Sedona, a town of about 10,000 surrounded by red rock formations.
Nestled along Oak Creek with red rocks in the distance, L'Auberge de Sedona had a gentleness that stayed with me. Water trickled past our private cottage, hummingbirds darted through the trees, and we rarely felt the need to speak.
L’Auberge de Sedona in Arizona is one of my favorite romantic resorts, and it’s easily one of the best hidden gems for a tranquil weekend in the red rocks.
I love that it sits right along Oak Creek, with serene cottages surrounded by trees and flowing water that make it feel like a true sanctuary.
The property has a peaceful, intimate atmosphere, and my favorite part was enjoying a creekside dinner under twinkling lights with the sound of the water nearby.
I found the cottages beautifully designed, with fireplaces, outdoor showers, and private decks that made the experience feel both luxurious and private.
For couples, L’Auberge de Sedona is one of the best romantic getaways in Arizona, offering spa treatments, stargazing, and moments of pure serenity.
What I Loved Most: Morning coffee on the deck with our feet in the creek , utter peace.
A downside? Prices in Sedona during peak season were steep. I found myself paying more than expected for both the stay and the meals.
Plan your trip:
- Vibe: Tranquil, natural, secluded
- Address: L'Auberge de Sedona, 301 L’Auberge Ln, Sedona, AZ 86336
Where Love Meets Simplicity
From the red rocks of Arizona to the lush forests of Connecticut, each of these getaways gave us something different, stillness, surprise, indulgence, wonder. That’s the magic of all-inclusive travel: once you arrive, the rest unfolds naturally. You’re free to focus on each other, because everything else has already been thoughtfully handled. Whether you’re soaking in a spa tub or savoring a five-course meal, it’s all about enjoying the moment, and the one you're with.
My personal highlights:
What I love most are the best surprises included in each package, champagne on arrival, sunset cruises, couples massages, or even the underrated joy of breakfast in bed without lifting a finger. Each trip feels unique and has quickly become one of my favorite ways to celebrate a weekend together.
