Review & FAQ:

The Alan Seeger Natural Area is a perfect spot to bring kids on a hike. Less than a mile long, with less than 50 feet in elevation gain, the trail is surrounded by massive trees, runs through rhododendron tunnels, over bridges, and across a creek. It is well marked, with logs along the edge of the trail for most part, but even the portion through a thick tunnel of rhododendrons is easy to navigate. The area is known for magnificent old hemlocks, which are visible from the trail. You will cross four bridges and there is a short climb after the last bridge.
