The Niagara County Historic Society is headquartered in the Outwater Memorial Building on Niagara Street. This fine brick building dates back to 1863 and offers visitors a glimpse of the history of the Niagara area during the past 175 years. At this main building you can go on a nostalgic trip as you explore the Victorian Parlor, the Historic Pantry, the Civil War Room and the Old Toy Room. To complete your visit you can move on to the Erie Canal Discovery Center in Church Street to learn all about the construction and history of the Erie Canal and locks. Finally, the Bond House on Ontario Street is the oldest brick house in Lockport.
