The Lockport Industrial District is a charming, geographically distinct area in Lockport that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The national historic district features several historic buildings such as the Western Block Company Warehouse (1855), the Washington Hunt House (1831), the Lockport Bank Building (1829), the former Christ Episcopal Church, and the Italianate-style Vine Street School (1864). The district is also home to beautifully preserved houses along Market Street overlooking the Erie Canal and visitors can enjoy docent-led guided walking tours through the area.
