Review:
The New York Transit Museum, also called the NYC Transit Museum, tells the story of the history of the New York City subway, bus, and commuter rail systems. Located in the decommissioned Court Street subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, the museum displays an impressive collection of artifacts and objects from the transport systems of the greater New York City metropolitan region. The museum also boasts bus, bridge, subway, and tunnel memorabilia, vintage signage and in-vehicle advertisements, and dioramas and models of other transport-related equipment. The New York Transit Museum also hosts a variety of lectures, films, workshops, and seminars for visitors of all ages as well as offsite programs and opportunities to ride vintage railway and bus equipment.
