You can immerse yourself in the history of Fair Lawn and Bergen County by visiting the Cadmus House Museum. Located in an old Dutch-style stone building on Pollitt Drive, which dates back to 1806, the museum is filled with interesting documents, photographs and artifacts relating directly to the Borough of Fair Lawn. Expect to encounter an eclectic collection of treasures including Native American arrowheads, military uniforms from World Wars I and II, old farming tools and ancient kitchen equipment. The upper floor of the old house contains a Victorian Room furnished with period pieces and a Fireman’s Room where you can admire equipment and photos of early Fair Lawn firemen.
