White Lake State Park is a state park on the shore of the White Lake in Tamworth that is open year-round and offers a variety of outdoor and recreational activities such as hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, camping, picnicking, non-motorized boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and winter sports. Resting along the shores of White Lake, a typical glacial lake with cold, gin-clear waters, White Lake State Park offers some of the best swimming in the White Mountain region. There is plenty of wildlife in the park to see such as beavers who build their homes on the lake, and many bird species and the lake is stocked with trout providing excellent fishing. The park has a day-use area and a campground with family campsites.
