Bent Creek Lodge is just a few miles from Asheville’s center but surrounded by a forested triangle created by the French Broad River and Blue Ridge Parkway that makes you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere. Each of the ten guest rooms has its own décor and well-appointed bath.
They feature individual air conditioning and heating, irons, hair dryers, CD players, and all but one have private entrances. Many also have HDTVs and whirlpool tubs.
Guests can hike immediately outside the lodge and explore the area or take a short drive or walk to go canoeing and more. There is wireless internet throughout the lodge and numerous large decks that overlook the gardens and mountains. Every floor of the lodge has its own private outdoor space and the upstairs guest rooms have a large balcony.
The dining area and great room open up onto a spacious deck with tables and Adirondack chairs, while the lower deck has swings and rockers along with coverings. You can actually sit down at the kitchen bar while your hosts prepare your breakfast and chat with the staff. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a range of beverages and freshly baked treats. The lodge can even prepare lunch or dinner.
