This AAA Four-Diamond Bed and Breakfast is in the Montford Historic District in Asheville and is in the style of Richard Sharp Smith, one of the most famous society architects in the city. To enhance its style, the innkeepers have filled the space with English and American antiques from between 1730 and 1910 and paired them with modern amenities. There are eight rooms and suites at the 1900 Inn on Montford and each one has a king-sized bed, a shower, a fireplace, an HDTV with DirecTV and DVD player, air conditioning, wireless high speed internet, and a fridge. All but one also have whirlpool-style whirlpools and four of the rooms even have steam baths. There is an additional carriage house that is pet friendly and features three suites with private back gardens.
There is a daily three-course breakfast featuring a fruit course followed by a savory egg dish and finally dessert. To get you ready, you will receive tea or coffee at your door an hour before breakfast and those in the Griffin Cottage can opt to have breakfast delivered to their rooms. There is an additional social hour in the evening as well as live music Saturday nights. The innkeepers can also schedule an in-room massage.
